CONTRA-INDICATIONS / SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

There are some contra-indications to some treatments carried out subject to the completion of our Medical Questionnaire. If you have any special requirements that we should take into account when you visit us, for example Heart Conditions, High/Low Blood Pressure, Circulatory Disorders, Epilepsy, Arthritis/Rheumatism, Diabetes, Allergies or are pregnant, you should seek the advice of your doctor first. This list is not exhaustable. Positive Massage cannot provide medical opinions on any medical conditions.

If you do not let us know of any special requirements at the time of booking we cannot guarantee that we will be able to fully accommodate your requirements at the time of your visit. If any treatment is found unsuitable we will recommend an alternative where possible, subject to availability.

Positive Massage recommends clients who suffer from the following conditions not have the Indian Head Massage/Back Neck & Shoulder Massage:

• Skin diseases / disorders
• Bruising
• Swelling
• Avoid any areas with warts
• Cuts / Abrasions
• Recent operations in the concerned areas
• Recent fractures of the concerned areas
• Eye infections e.g. Conjunctivitis
• Epilepsy (if not on medication)
• Recent scar tissue
• Acute inflammation / Tumours / Unrecognised lumps
• Neuritis / Neuralgia
• Haemophilia
• Any known allergies to be made aware of
• Colds / Flus or glandular disorders

All treatments are subject to a completed health questionnaire with Positive Massage. If you have any questions or discover you have any of the above after making your booking, please call 07951 236 266, we will be happy to arrange alternative treatments if necessary.

Pregnancy:

Please mention to your therapist that you are pregnant. Particular treatments are not suitable during the first trimester of pregnancy, some are safe mid-term from 13-28 weeks and others are great at any time.

If you discover you are pregnant after having made a booking, please inform us at your earliest convenience.
